***Forest Liesel*** (German: ***Försterliesel***) is a 1956 West German [comedy](/source/Comedy_film) [drama film](/source/Drama_film) directed by [Herbert B. Fredersdorf](/source/Herbert_B._Fredersdorf) and starring [Anita Gutwell](/source/Anita_Gutwell), [Rudolf Lenz](/source/Rudolf_Lenz) and [Lotte Ledl](/source/Lotte_Ledl). It is part of the post-war group of rural-set [heimatfilm](/source/Heimatfilm).[1] The film was made in [Agfacolor](/source/Agfacolor). The film's sets were designed by [Wolf Witzemann](/source/Wolf_Witzemann). It was shot [on location](/source/Location_filming) in the Austrian [Tyrol](/source/Tyrol). It is a follow-up by Fredersdorf to the previous financial success of *[The Milkmaid of St. Kathrein](/source/The_Milkmaid_of_St._Kathrein)* (1955).
