# Foch Hospital

**Foch Hospital** ([French](/source/French_language): *Hôpital Foch*) is a teaching hospital in the [Suresnes](/source/Suresnes), [France](/source/France). It is part of the *Établissement de santé privé d'intérêt collectif*.[1]

It was established in 1929 with the help of [Consuelo Vanderbilt](/source/Consuelo_Vanderbilt)[2] and [Winnaretta Singer](/source/Winnaretta_Singer). It was named in honour of [Ferdinand Foch](/source/Ferdinand_Foch).

The hospital is today one of the largest in [Île-de-France](/source/%C3%8Ele-de-France). He particularly specializes in the areas of pulmonary and respiratory, renal and urological pathologies, as well as neuroscience.

## Partnerships

*La Foulée suresnoise* is a [running race](/source/Running) dedicated since 2005 to [organ donation](/source/Organ_donation), in partnership with the Foch hospital. The hospital is also a partner of the [University of Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines](/source/University_of_Versailles_Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines), notably through a research department in [transplantation](/source/Organ_transplantation).[3]

Through its history, the Foch Hospital hosted notable doctors, among others:
