'''Fletchertown''' is a small village in the [Cumberland](/source/Cumberland_(unitary_authority)) district of [Cumbria](/source/Cumbria), England. 

The village was originally built to house workers in a nearby [coal mine](/source/coal_mining), since abandoned. The site of the mine and its spoil heaps remain. The heaps are known locally as the 'pit bank' area. Fletchertown is also the home of a number of industrial units. The school closed in 1984 and now serves as a local community centre.

Fletchertown is situated {{convert|6|mi|km|abbr=on|0}} from the market town of [Wigton](/source/Wigton), {{convert|16.7|mi|km|abbr=on|0}} from the border city of [Carlisle](/source/Carlisle), {{convert|15.7|mi|km|abbr=on|0}} from [Keswick](/source/Keswick%2C_Cumbria) and {{convert|10.6|mi|km|abbr=on|0}} from the town of [Cockermouth](/source/Cockermouth). Fletchertown is situated about 5 miles north of the northern edge of the [Lake District](/source/Lake_District) [National Park](/source/National_parks_of_England_and_Wales).

The village is in the [parliamentary constituency](/source/United_Kingdom_Parliament_constituencies) of [Penrith and Solway](/source/Penrith_and_Solway_(UK_Parliament_constituency)), [Markus Campbell-Savours](/source/Markus_Campbell-Savours) is the [Member of parliament](/source/Member_of_parliament).

For [Local Government](/source/Local_Government) purposes it is in ''Aspatria Ward'' of [Cumberland Council](/source/Cumberland_Council).

It was historically within [Cumberland](/source/Cumberland). From 1974 to 2023 it was part of the [Allerdale](/source/Allerdale) borough.

Fletchertown does not have its own [parish council](/source/Parish_councils_in_England), instead it is part of Allhallows Parish Council.
