The '''Fitzroy Street Group''' was an organisation created to promote and support artists. It was established in 1907 by [Walter Sickert](/source/Walter_Sickert) and merged in 1913 with the [Camden Town Group](/source/Camden_Town_Group) to form the [London Group](/source/London_Group).

==Overview==
In 1907 [Walter Sickert](/source/Walter_Sickert) formed the Fitzroy Street Group. Initial members were [Walter Russell](/source/Walter_Russell), [Spencer Gore](/source/Spencer_Gore_(artist)), and brother [Albert Rutherston](/source/Albert_Rutherston) and [William Rothenstein](/source/William_Rothenstein). [Robert Bevan](/source/Robert_Bevan_(artist)), [Lucien Pissarro](/source/Lucien_Pissarro), [Nan Hudson](/source/Anna_Hope_Hudson) and [Ethel Sands](/source/Ethel_Sands) also joined the organization.<ref>Linden Peach.
