The Fish Springs Range lies at the south of the [Great Salt Lake Desert](/source/Great_Salt_Lake_Desert)<ref>{{Cite web |title=Fish Springs - Utah |url=https://www.blm.gov/visit/fish-springs |access-date=2026-05-27 |website=Bureau of Land Management |language=en}}</ref>. It is in the geologic province known as the [Basin and Range](/source/Basin_and_Range_Province). 

The south of the range borders the north of Tule Valley.

==Range description==
The Fish Springs Range is north-south trending, linear, narrow (mostly 3 to 4-mi wide),<ref>Utah, DeLorme Atlas & Gazetteer, p. 30–31.</ref>

Fish Springs Flat borders the east of the range, and west of the range lies a satellite sub-peak (only other regional peak), The Honeycombs, {{convert|1738|m|ft|0}}.<ref>{{Cite web |title=Geographic Names Information System |url=https://edits.nationalmap.gov/apps/gaz-domestic/public/gaz-record/1437772 |access-date=2026-05-27 |website=edits.nationalmap.gov}}</ref>

==Access==
The Fish Springs Range and wildlife refuge can be accessed from the west from [Trout Creek](/source/Trout_Creek%2C_Utah). From the east, access can be from the [Dugway Range](/source/Dugway_Range) region by unimproved roads, and southeast by the same from [Delta](/source/Delta%2C_Utah), and [Utah State Route 174](/source/Utah_State_Route_174), (through the [Sevier Desert](/source/Sevier_Desert)).
