# First Love (play)

***First Love*** is a 1795 [sentimental](/source/Sentimentality) [comedy play](/source/Comedy_(drama)) by the British playwright [Richard Cumberland](/source/Richard_Cumberland_(dramatist)). It was first performed at the [Drury Lane Theatre](/source/Theatre_Royal,_Drury_Lane) in May 1795.[2] Frederick Mowbray becomes the protector of Sabrina Rosny after her abandonment by Lord Sensitive.[3]
