**Fingal** is a locality on the [Mornington Peninsula](/source/Mornington_Peninsula) in [Melbourne](/source/Melbourne), [Victoria](/source/Victoria_(Australia)), [Australia](/source/Australia), approximately 66 km (41 mi) south of Melbourne's [Central Business District](/source/Melbourne_City_Centre), located within the [Shire of Mornington Peninsula](/source/Shire_of_Mornington_Peninsula) [local government area](/source/Local_government_areas_of_Victoria). Fingal recorded a population of 637 at the [2021 census](/source/2021_Australian_census).[1]

Fingal abuts [Bass Strait](/source/Bass_Strait) along Gunnamatta Beach and is located between the suburbs of [Rye](/source/Rye,_Victoria) and [St Andrews Beach](/source/St_Andrews_Beach,_Victoria).

Fingal is home to many family friendly attractions such as the Peninsula Hot Springs, [Moonah Links Golf Course](/source/Moonah_Links_Golf_Course). There are great walking tracks along the beaches to explore.
