==Geography==
The village of Figari is {{convert|43|km|sp=us}} to the southeast of [Sartène](/source/Sart%C3%A8ne), {{convert|20|km|abbr=on}} to the southwest of [Porto-Vecchio](/source/Porto-Vecchio) and {{convert|19|km|abbr=on}} to the north of [Bonifacio](/source/Bonifacio%2C_Corse-du-Sud). The commune comes from an ancient parish. It includes the center of a large plain where the airport was built in 1975. To the north looms Mount Cagna, which exceeds {{convert|1100|m|sp=us}}.

To the southeast hills climb to {{convert|320|m|abbr=on}} over the village and enclose the [Figari Reservoir](/source/Figari_Reservoir), created by damming the Ruisseau de Ventilegne for purposes of water supply and irrigation; additional water can be taken from the Orgone, a small brook which descends from the mountain of Cagna et forms the upper stream of the Stabbiacciu in [Porto-Vecchio](/source/Porto-Vecchio). [Viticulture](/source/Viticulture) has been practiced in Figari since the Roman era.<ref>{{cite web |url=http://www.figari.fr/ |title=Home |website=figari.fr}}</ref> There are {{convert|153|ha}} of vineyards on which [Syrah](/source/Syrah), [Grenache](/source/Grenache), and [Vermentino](/source/Vermentino) are grown. The wine produced falls under the [Vin de Corse-Figari](/source/Vin_de_Corse) [AOC](/source/AOC_(wine)).
