Augereau, who was born in [Naintré](/source/Naintr%C3%A9), participated in the [1903 Tour de France](/source/1903_Tour_de_France), where he finished third, and won [Bordeaux–Paris](/source/Bordeaux%E2%80%93Paris) in 1904. He was professional from 1902 to 1911.
