# Ferdinando Apap

**Ferdinando Apap** (born 29 July 1992) is a Maltese [footballer](/source/Association_football) who plays for [Victoria Hotspurs](/source/Victoria_Hotspurs_F.C.) as a [defender](/source/Defender_(association_football)).

## Club career

Apap has played club football for [Għajnsielem](/source/G%C4%A7ajnsielem_F.C.), [Sheffield](/source/Sheffield_F.C.), [Mosta](/source/Mosta_F.C.), [Xewkija Tigers](/source/Xewkija_Tigers_F.C.) and [Victoria Hotspurs](/source/Victoria_Hotspurs_F.C.).[1][2]

He was the [Gozo Football Association](/source/Gozo_Football_Association) Player of the Year for the 2013–14 and 2018–19 seasons.[3][4]

On 1 June 2019, he joined [Hibernians](/source/Hibernians_F.C.) on a three-year deal.[5] He returned to Victoria Hotspurs in June 2024.[6]

## International career

He made his international debut for [Malta](/source/Malta_national_football_team) in August 2018.[1] He retired from the national team in June 2024 following his decision to rejoin Victoria Hotspurs.[6]

He has also played unofficial matches for the [Gozo representative team](/source/Gozo_representative_football_team), making his debut in 2010.[7]
