**Feolin** (also known as **Feolin Ferry**) is a [slipway](/source/Ferry_slip) on the west coast of [Jura](/source/Isle_of_Jura). [MV *Eilean Dhiura*](/source/MV_Eilean_Dhiura) provides a vehicle and passenger ferry service from [Port Askaig](/source/Port_Askaig) on [Islay](/source/Islay) across the [Sound of Islay](/source/Sound_of_Islay), the only regular access to the island. The road on both islands has the designation [A846](/source/A846_road).

## History

The name "Feolin" means "Field or stony place by the shore".[1]
