**Faustine Lucie Merret** (born 13 March 1978 in [Brest](/source/Brest%2C_France)) is a French [windsurfer](/source/Windsurfing), who became Olympic champion at the [2004 Summer Olympics](/source/2004_Summer_Olympics) in the windsurfing class.[1] She also has won several medals at World and European championships in the mistral and RS:X windsurfing classes.
