**Farahan District** ([Persian](/source/Persian_language): بخش فراهان) is a former administrative division of [Tafresh County](/source/Tafresh_County), [Markazi](/source/Markazi_province) province, [Iran](/source/Iran). Its capital was the city of [Farmahin](/source/Farmahin).[3]

## History

After the 2006 National Census, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of [Farahan County](/source/Farahan_County).[4]

At the time of the 2006 census, the district's population was 22,742 in 6,666 households.[2]
