**Fakhreddine Ben Youssef** ([Arabic](/source/Arabic_language): فَخْر الدِّين بْن يُوسُف; born 23 June 1991) is a Tunisian [footballer](/source/Association_football) who plays as a [striker](/source/Striker_(association_football)) for [US Monastir](/source/US_Monastir_(football)).

## Club career

Ben Youssef started his career playing for [CS Sfaxien](/source/CS_Sfaxien), in which he was loaned out to [Metz](/source/FC_Metz). He then played for [ES Tunis](/source/Esp%C3%A9rance_Sportive_de_Tunis), before joining Saudi club [Al-Ettifaq](/source/Al-Ettifaq). He later had chosen to terminate his contract with his team Al-Ettifaq. In January 2020, he joined Egyptian club [Al-Ismaily](/source/Ismaily_SC), then he rejoined them in November after being a free agent since summer, before moving to the newly founded [Pyramids FC](/source/Pyramids_FC) in 2021.[3]

## International career

Ben Youssef was a member of the Tunisian squad at the [2013 Africa Cup of Nations](/source/2013_Africa_Cup_of_Nations).[4]

In June 2018, he was named in Tunisia's 23-man squad for the [2018 FIFA World Cup](/source/2018_FIFA_World_Cup) in Russia.[5][6] He scored an equalizer in Tunisia's last group stage match against [Panama](/source/Panama_national_football_team). This goal was the 2,500th goal in [FIFA World Cup](/source/FIFA_World_Cup) history.[7]
