The **Extended Semantic Web Conference** (abbreviated as **ESWC**), formerly known as the **European Semantic Web Conference**, is a yearly international [academic conference](/source/Academic_conference) on the topic of the [Semantic Web](/source/Semantic_Web). The event began in 2004, as the European Semantic Web Symposium.
