**ExtendScript** is a scripting language and an associated toolkit developed by [Adobe Systems](/source/Adobe_Systems), intended for use with [Creative Suite](/source/Creative_Suite) and [Technical Communication Suite](/source/Adobe_Technical_Communication_Suite) products.[1] It is a dialect of the [ECMAScript 3](/source/ECMAScript_3)[2] standard and therefore similar to [JavaScript](/source/JavaScript) and [ActionScript](/source/ActionScript). The toolkit comes bundled with Creative Suite and Technical Communication Suite editions, and can access tools within applications like [Photoshop](/source/Photoshop), [FrameMaker](/source/FrameMaker), [InDesign](/source/InDesign) or [After Effects](/source/After_Effects) for batch-processing projects.
