The **Evolution Revo** is an American [ultralight trike](/source/Ultralight_trike), designed by [Evolution Trikes](/source/Evolution_Trikes) of [Zephyrhills, Florida](/source/Zephyrhills,_Florida). The aircraft is supplied as a complete ready-to-fly-aircraft.[1]

The Revo was derived from the Hungarian [Apollo Monsoon](/source/Apollo_Monsoon) and is built under sub-contract in the United States by [Powrachute](/source/Powrachute) of [Middleville, Michigan](/source/Middleville,_Michigan). It was designed specifically to complete with the British [Pegasus Quik](/source/Pegasus_Quik).[1]

## Design and development

The Revo was designed to comply with the American [light-sport aircraft](/source/Light-sport_aircraft) category and has been accepted as an S-LSA.[2]

The aircraft features a [strut-braced](/source/Strut-braced) [hang glider](/source/Hang_glider)-style [high-wing](/source/High-wing), weight-shift controls, a two-seats-in-[tandem](/source/Tandem) open cockpit with a [cockpit fairing](/source/Cockpit_fairing), [tricycle landing gear](/source/Tricycle_landing_gear) with [wheel pants](/source/Wheel_pants) and a single engine in [pusher configuration](/source/Pusher_configuration).[1]

The Revo is made from welded [steel](/source/Steel) tubing, with its double surface wing covered in [Dacron](/source/Dacron) sailcloth. Its 30 ft (9.1 m) span [North Wing Reflex](/source/North_Wing_Reflex) wing has no [kingpost](/source/Kingpost) and uses an "A" frame weight-shift control bar. The powerplant is a four-cylinder, air and liquid-cooled, [four-stroke](/source/Four-stroke), [dual-ignition](/source/Dual-ignition) 100 hp (75 kW) [Rotax 912ULS](/source/Rotax_912ULS) engine or 80 hp (60 kW) [Rotax 912UL](/source/Rotax_912UL). The aircraft has an empty weight of 530 lb (240 kg) and a gross weight of 1,037 lb (470 kg), giving a useful load of 506 lb (230 kg). With full fuel of 15 US gallons (57 L) the payload is 416 lb (189 kg).[1]

A number of different wings can be fitted to the basic carriage, including the Reflex 11 and 13.[1]
