"**Every Man**" is a song by [contemporary Christian](/source/Contemporary_Christian_music) and [Christian rock](/source/Christian_rock) band [Casting Crowns](/source/Casting_Crowns) from their 2007 album *[The Altar and the Door](/source/The_Altar_and_the_Door)*.[2][3] It was released on April 13, 2008, as the second single of the album. The song peaked at No. 2 on the [Hot Christian Songs](/source/Hot_Christian_Songs) chart. It lasted 22 weeks on the overall chart.[4] The song is played in a [C major](/source/C_major) key, and 144 [beats per minute](/source/Beats_per_minute).[5]

## Background

"Every Man" was released on April 13, 2008, as the second single from their third studio album *The Altar and the Door*.[6] "Every Man" was also featured by the compilation *[WOW Hits 2009](/source/WOW_Hits_2009)*.[7] The song is about showing that Jesus is everywhere and always wanting to help you.

## Reception

Jared Johnson of [Allmusic](/source/Allmusic) noted it had a "mature [rock](/source/Rock_music) theme" and "showcased more [grunge](/source/Grunge) guitar than could be heard on all of *[Lifesong](/source/Lifesong)*".[8]
