'''Everthorpe''' is a [hamlet](/source/Hamlet_(place)) in the [East Riding of Yorkshire](/source/East_Riding_of_Yorkshire), England.  It is situated approximately {{convert|11|mi|km}} west of [Hull](/source/Kingston_upon_Hull) city centre and {{convert|10|mi|km}} east of the [market town](/source/market_town) of [Howden](/source/Howden), midway between [North Cave](/source/North_Cave) and [South Cave](/source/South_Cave). It lies {{convert|1|mi|km}} north of the [A63 road](/source/A63_road) and 1 mile west of the [A1034 road](/source/A1034_road). Everthorpe forms part of the [civil parish](/source/civil_parishes_in_England) of [North Cave](/source/North_Cave).

In 1823, Everthorpe was in the parish of North Cave and in the [wapentake](/source/hundred_(county_division)) of [Harthill](/source/Harthill_Wapentake). Population was 177, which included [Drewton](/source/Drewton), a hamlet less than 1 mile to the north-east. The area was home to two prisons: [HM Prison Everthorpe](/source/HM_Prison_Everthorpe) and [HM Prison Wolds](/source/HM_Prison_Wolds).
