**Evans Wise** [CM](/source/Chaconia_Medal) (born November 23, 1973) is a [Trinidadian](/source/Trinidad_and_Tobago) former professional [footballer](/source/Association_football) who played as a [midfielder](/source/Midfielder).

His first professional club was the Tampa Bay Mutiny, who drafted him fourth overall in the [1996 MLS Supplemental Draft](/source/1996_MLS_Supplemental_Draft).

Wise has 18 caps and three goals for the [Trinidad and Tobago national football team](/source/Trinidad_and_Tobago_national_football_team). He was called up to for the [2006 FIFA World Cup](/source/2006_FIFA_World_Cup) in Germany, replacing the injured [Silvio Spann](/source/Silvio_Spann).

As a member of [the squad](/source/Trinidad_and_Tobago_at_the_2006_FIFA_World_Cup) that competed at the World Cup, Wise was awarded the [Chaconia Medal (Gold Class)](/source/Chaconia_Medal), the second highest [state decoration](/source/Orders%2C_decorations%2C_and_medals_of_Trinidad_and_Tobago) of Trinidad and Tobago.[2]
