# Eva Prytz

**Eva Prytz** (20 April 1917 – 16 December 1987) was a [Norwegian](/source/Norway) opera [soprano](/source/Lyric_soprano).

She was born in [Oslo](/source/Oslo), but took her education in [Stockholm](/source/Stockholm),[1] studying under [Andrejewa de Skilondz](/source/Andrejewa_de_Skilondz).[2] She was employed by the [Royal Swedish Theatre](/source/Royal_Swedish_Opera) from 1946 to 1967 and also held concerts in [Oslo](/source/The_Norwegian_Opera_and_Ballet) and several other European cities.[1] She received several decorations, including the [Order of Vasa](/source/Order_of_Vasa) and the [St. Olav's Medal](/source/St_Olav's_medal).[citation needed]
