**Eva Cheng**, [GBS](/source/Gold_Bauhinia_Star) ([Chinese](/source/Traditional_Chinese_characters): 鄭汝樺; born 31 May 1960, Hong Kong) was the [Secretary for Transport and Housing](/source/Secretary_for_Transport_and_Housing) and the chairman of the [Hong Kong Housing Authority](/source/Hong_Kong_Housing_Authority)[1] in the [Hong Kong Government](/source/Government_of_Hong_Kong).

She joined as a civil servant in the Administrative Service in 1983.

Cheng has served in various [bureaux](/source/Government_agency) and [departments](/source/Ministry_(government_department)) in the government, including Deputy Head of the [Central Policy Unit](/source/Central_Policy_Unit) (1996–1998), Deputy Director of Administration (1997), Deputy [Secretary for Information Technology and Broadcasting](/source/Secretary_for_Information_Technology_and_Broadcasting) (later renamed Deputy [Secretary for Commerce, Industry and Technology](/source/Secretary_for_Commerce%2C_Industry_and_Technology)) (1998–2003), [Commissioner for Tourism](/source/Commissioner_for_Tourism) (2003–2006), and Permanent [Secretary for Economic Development and Labour](/source/Secretary_for_Economic_Development_and_Labour) (Economic Development) (2006–2007).
