'''Eustephieae''' is a flowering plant [tribe](/source/tribe_(biology)) in the family [Amaryllidaceae](/source/Amaryllidaceae), subfamily [Amaryllidoideae](/source/Amaryllidoideae). It forms part of the Andean [clade](/source/clade), one of two clades in The Americas.{{sfn|Vigneron|2008}}

==Description==
===Vegetative characteristics===
Eustephieae are bulbous plants with often long-necked bulbs and linear leaves.<ref name = "Meerow & Snijman, 1998" />
===Generative characteristics===
The pedicellate, tubular flowers are borne on a solid [scape](/source/Scape_(botany)).<ref name = "Meerow & Snijman, 1998">Meerow, A.W., Snijman, D.A. (1998). Amaryllidaceae. In: Kubitzki, K. === Phylogeny ===
This tribe was resurrected from the [Stenomesseae](/source/Stenomesseae) in 1995, by [Meerow](/source/Alan_Meerow).{{sfn|Meerow|1995}} The placement of Eustephieae within subfamily Amaryllidoideae is shown in the following cladogram, where this tribe is shown as a [sister group](/source/sister_group) to the remainder of the [tetraploid](/source/tetraploid) Andean clade.{{sfn|Meerow et al.|2000b}}

=== Subdivision ===
The tribe has four genera:
* ''[Eustephia](/source/Eustephia)'' {{small|Cav.}}<ref name = "Meerow & Snijman, 1998" />

== Distribution ==
The Eustephieae form the southern limit of the Andean clade. They are found in Peru in the southern Andes, and the northern Andes of Argentina, Bolivia and Chile. This is distinct from the central Andean distribution of the remainder of the parent clade.{{sfn|Meerow et al.|2000b}}
