***Eupolybothrus cavernicolus*** is a species of [centipede](/source/Centipede) so far only found in two caves near the village of [Kistanje](/source/Kistanje), in [Šibenik-Knin County](/source/%C5%A0ibenik-Knin_County), [Croatia](/source/Croatia).[1]

It has been dubbed the *cyber-centipede* as it is the first [eukaryotic](/source/Eukaryote) species for which, in addition to the traditional [morphological](/source/Morphology_(biology)) description, scientists have provided a [transcriptomic](/source/Transcriptome) profile, [DNA barcoding](/source/DNA_barcoding) data, detailed anatomical [X-ray microtomography](/source/X-ray_microtomography) (micro-CT), and a movie of the living specimen.[1][2]

It was discovered in by 2013 by biospeleologists Komerički and Stoev.[3]
