**Espelkamp** (German pronunciation: [\[ˈɛspl̩ˌkamp\]](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:IPA/Standard_German) [ⓘ](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:De-Espelkamp.ogg); [Low German](/source/Low_German_language): *Espelkämpe*) is a town in the [Minden-Lübbecke](/source/Minden-L%C3%BCbbecke) district, in [North Rhine-Westphalia](/source/North_Rhine-Westphalia), [Germany](/source/Germany).

## Geography

Espelkamp is situated approximately 10 kilometers north of [Lübbecke](/source/L%C3%BCbbecke) and 20 kilometers north-west of [Minden](/source/Minden).

The is located on the site of a former ammunition factory Heeres-Munitionsanstalt Lübbecke. After World War II, it was used to house ethnic German refugees from former eastern territories.
