He placed tenth at the [2012 Olympics](/source/Canoeing_at_the_2012_Summer_Olympics_%E2%80%93_Men's_C-2_1000_metres) and won a silver medal at the [2016 Rio Games](/source/2016_Summer_Olympics). He won two more silver medals at the 2011 and 2015 Pan American Games and became a world champion in 2015.<ref name=nbc/>
