# Eriopithex lanaris

***Eriopithex lanaris*** is a [moth](/source/Moth) in the family [Geometridae](/source/Geometridae). It is found in the north-eastern [Himalayas](/source/Himalaya), as well as on [Peninsular Malaysia](/source/Peninsular_Malaysia), [Borneo](/source/Borneo), [Bali](/source/Bali), [Sulawesi](/source/Sulawesi), the [Sangihe Islands](/source/Sangihe_Islands) and in [New Guinea](/source/New_Guinea) and [Queensland](/source/Queensland).[2]

The [moth](/source/Moth) is 14–16 mm. The forewings are pale dull grey, with darker grey lines. The hindwings are whitish grey, with a blackish cell-dot and postrnedian line.[3]
