**Erik Heil** (born 10 August 1989) is a German sailor. He competes in the [49er](/source/49er_(dinghy)) and won a place in the [Qualification for the 2016 Summer Olympics](/source/Sailing_at_the_2016_Summer_Olympics_%E2%80%93_Qualification) together with [Thomas Plößel](/source/Thomas_Pl%C3%B6%C3%9Fel). They won bronze medals at the [2016 Summer Olympics](/source/2016_Summer_Olympics)[1] and the [2020 Summer Olympics](/source/2020_Summer_Olympics).[2][3]

Starting in the [fourth season](/source/2023%E2%80%9324_SailGP_championship) of the [SailGP](/source/SailGP) in 2023 he is leading the Germany SailGP Team sponsored by [Sebastian Vettel](/source/Sebastian_Vettel).[4]
