He started his career with [FC Fredericia](/source/FC_Fredericia) before transferring to [Vejle](/source/Vejle_Boldklub) in 1993. In the [1996–97 Danish Superliga](/source/1996%E2%80%9397_Danish_Superliga) he was ever-present as his club finished in 2nd place and qualified for the [1997–98 UEFA Cup](/source/1997%E2%80%9398_UEFA_Cup). He played well over 200 games for Vejle<ref name=vejle/>
