**Ericea** or **Erikeia** ([Ancient Greek](/source/Ancient_Greek_language): Ἐρίκεια) was a [deme](/source/Deme) of [ancient Attica](/source/Ancient_Attica), located near the modern [Kypseli](/source/Kypseli%2C_Athens).[1][2] The name of the deme probably derives from the [erica](/source/Erica_arborea) plant, which grew abundantly in the hilly territory of the area.
