# Eric Schilsky

**Eric Schilsky**, [RA](/source/Royal_Academician) (born **Eric Clare Telford Schilsky**; October 1898 in [Southampton](/source/Southampton), [Hampshire](/source/Hampshire), England; died 29 March 1974, [Edinburgh](/source/Edinburgh)) was a [sculptor](/source/Sculpture).[1][2]

Schooled in Geneva, and at the [École des Beaux-Arts](/source/%C3%89cole_des_Beaux-Arts) in Paris, he studied sculpture under Havard Thomas, at [The Slade](/source/Slade_School_of_Fine_Art) (1914–19) (interrupted by [WW I](/source/WW_I) service).[3][4]

He was married to the painter [Victorine Foot](/source/Victorine_Foot).[5]
