# Eoin Reardon

**Eoin Reardon** (born c. 2002),[1] also known as "pintofplane", is an Irish [influencer](/source/Influencer) and woodworker.[2][3]

## Social media

Reardon taught himself the basics of woodworking during the [pandemic lockdown](/source/Pandemic_lockdown). His first video was him using a [hand plane](/source/Plane_(tool)). Reardon gains most of his video ideas from fans, answering their questions.[4] Reardon gained his initial following on [TikTok](/source/TikTok).[1] In his videos, Reardon only uses hand tools, but uses power tools for commissions.[4][1] As of 2024, Reardon had 3 million followers on TikTok and 1 million on [YouTube](/source/YouTube).[2] Reardon has said that over half of his followers claim to be of Irish heritage and over half of his followers are from the United States.[4]

Over several videos, Reardon built a [currach](/source/Currach).[3]

Reardon was nominated for "Highest Quality Creator of the Year" at the Ireland and United Kingdom TikTok awards.[2]

## Personal life

Reardon is from [Crossbarry](/source/Crossbarry) in County Cork.[1][5] He studied commerce at [University College Cork](/source/University_College_Cork) for a period, but "dropped out [..] to follow his passion for carving".[6] He sells some of the items he makes at [craft fairs](/source/Craft) in Ireland.[4]
