**Ent Credit Union** (simply known as **Ent**) is a community [credit union](/source/Credit_union) serving a 21 county area in Northern, Central and Southern [Colorado](/source/Colorado) with more than $9 billion in assets[2] and more than 470,000 members.

Ent has 52 service centers,[3] online and telephone banking, a call center and a mortgage loan center.

## Membership

Ent is a Colorado state community chartered credit union offering membership benefits to all who live, work, worship or attend school in [Adams](/source/Adams_County%2C_Colorado), [Arapahoe](/source/Arapahoe_County%2C_Colorado), [Boulder](/source/Boulder_County%2C_Colorado), [Broomfield](/source/Broomfield_County%2C_Colorado), [Denver](/source/Denver_County%2C_Colorado), [Douglas](/source/Douglas_County%2C_Colorado), [El Paso](/source/El_Paso_County%2C_Colorado), [Elbert](/source/Elbert_County%2C_Colorado), [Fremont](/source/Fremont_County%2C_Colorado), [Jefferson](/source/Jefferson_County%2C_Colorado), [Larimer](/source/Larimer_County%2C_Colorado), [Pueblo](/source/Pueblo_County%2C_Colorado), [Teller](/source/Teller_County%2C_Colorado) and [Weld counties](/source/Weld_County%2C_Colorado).

In addition, membership is open to civilian and military personnel of the [Colorado Air National Guard](/source/Colorado_Air_National_Guard), [Colorado Army National Guard](/source/Colorado_Army_National_Guard) and those associated with [Buckley Space Force Base](/source/Buckley_Space_Force_Base) in [Aurora, Colorado](/source/Aurora%2C_Colorado).

Family members of Ent members are also eligible to join.

## History

Ent was chartered in 1957 to serve military and civilian personnel assigned to [Ent Air Force Base](/source/Ent_Air_Force_Base) (now the [United States Olympic Training Center](/source/United_States_Olympic_Training_Center)) and Peterson Field (now [Peterson Space Force Base](/source/Peterson_Space_Force_Base)) in [Colorado Springs, Colorado](/source/Colorado_Springs%2C_Colorado). Ent and Ent Air Force Base were both named for Major General [Uzal Girard Ent](/source/Uzal_Girard_Ent), commander of the [Ninth Air Force](/source/Ninth_Air_Force) during [World War II](/source/World_War_II). Ent Air Force Base opened in 1951 when the United States Air Defense Command moved to Colorado Springs.

Ent's community charter change, to serve [El Paso](/source/El_Paso_County%2C_Colorado) and [Teller](/source/Teller_County%2C_Colorado) counties in Colorado was approved by the [National Credit Union Administration](/source/National_Credit_Union_Administration) in 1999.

Ent's charter was adjusted in 2004 to include underserved areas in [Denver County](/source/Denver) and [Pueblo County](/source/Pueblo_County%2C_Colorado).

Ent changed from a federal to a state of Colorado credit union charter on January 1, 2016. In April, its charter was expanded to include [Arapahoe](/source/Arapahoe_County%2C_Colorado), [Douglas](/source/Douglas_County%2C_Colorado), [Fremont](/source/Fremont_County%2C_Colorado) and [Jefferson](/source/Jefferson_County%2C_Colorado) counties.

Ent's charter was expanded in October 2018 to include [Adams](/source/Adams_County%2C_Colorado), [Boulder](/source/Boulder%2C_Colorado), [Broomfield](/source/Broomfield%2C_Colorado), [Elbert](/source/Elbert_County%2C_Colorado), [Larimer](/source/Larimer_County%2C_Colorado) and [Weld](/source/Weld_County%2C_Colorado) counties.[*[citation needed](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Citation_needed)*]

In January 2026, Ent Credit Union announced a merger with the Minnesota-based Wings Credit Union. The merged credit unions will now both operate under the name “Wings Credit Union”.
