***Englerodothis*** is a [genus](/source/Genus) of [fungi](/source/Fungi) in the family [Parmulariaceae](/source/Parmulariaceae).[1]

The genus was [circumscribed](/source/Circumscription_(taxonomy)) in Ann. Mycol. Vol.13 on page 285 in 1915 by [Ferdinand Theissen](/source/Ferdinand_Theissen) and [Hans Sydow](/source/Hans_Sydow).

The genus name of *Englerodothis* is in honour of [Heinrich Gustav Adolf Engler](/source/Heinrich_Gustav_Adolf_Engler) (1844 – 1930), who was a German botanist. He is notable for his work on plant taxonomy and [phytogeography](/source/Phytogeography).[2]
