**Badobre Emmanuel Elysee Djedje Agbadou** (born 17 June 1997) is an Ivorian professional [footballer](/source/Association_football) who plays as a [centre-back](/source/Centre-back) for [Süper Lig](/source/S%C3%BCper_Lig) club [Beşiktaş](/source/Be%C5%9Fikta%C5%9F_J.K.) and the [Ivory Coast national team](/source/Ivory_Coast_national_football_team).[2][3]

## Club career

### Monastir

In July 2019, Agbadou signed for [US Monastir](/source/US_Monastir_(football)). On 25 September 2019, he played his first match against [Stade Tunisien](/source/Stade_Tunisien) in a 1–0 win.[4]

### Eupen

On 1 September 2020, Agbadou join Belgian club [Eupen](/source/K.A.S._Eupen).[5] He played his first professional match on 30 October 2020, in a championship match against the [Genk](/source/K.R.C._Genk), which ended with a 4–0 defeat for his team.

### Reims

On 16 June 2022, Agbadou signed a five-year contract with [Reims](/source/Stade_de_Reims) in France.[6]

Agbadou plays his first game under his on 7 August 2022, in the first day of the 2022–23 season of [Ligue 1](/source/Ligue_1), against the [Marseille](/source/Olympique_de_Marseille).

On 20 September 2024, Agbadou extended his contract with the Reims by one more season, that is, until June 2028.[7]

### Wolverhampton Wanderers

On 9 January 2025, Agbadou signed for [Premier League](/source/Premier_League) club [Wolverhampton Wanderers](/source/Wolverhampton_Wanderers_F.C.) on a four-and-a-half-year deal for a reported fee of £16.6 million.[8][9]

Agbadou scored his first goal for Wolves in their match against [Crystal Palace](/source/Crystal_Palace_F.C.) on 20 May 2025.[10]

On 1 November 2025, Agbadou was shown a straight red card for fouling [Josh King](/source/Joshua_King_(footballer%2C_born_2007)) in their 3–0 defeat to [Fulham](/source/Fulham_F.C.) and what proved to be [Vítor Pereira](/source/V%C3%ADtor_Pereira_(footballer%2C_born_1968))'s last game in charge as the next day he was sacked after his team went 10 games without a win in the new season.[11]

### Beşiktaş

On 6 February 2026, Agbadou joined [Beşiktaş](/source/Be%C5%9Fikta%C5%9F_J.K.) on a four-and-a-half-year deal for a reported fee of €18 million.[12]

## International career

Agbadou debuted with the [Ivory Coast national team](/source/Ivory_Coast_national_football_team) in a friendly 3–0 loss to [England](/source/England_national_football_team) on 29 March 2022.[13]

On 8 October 2021, Agbadou earned his first cap for the Ivory Coast national team in a match against [Malawi](/source/Malawi_national_football_team). He came on as a substitute for [Serge Aurier](/source/Serge_Aurier) in a game that his team won 3–0.

Agbadou was included in the list of Ivorian players selected by coach [Emerse Faé](/source/Emerse_Fa%C3%A9) to participate in the [2025 Africa Cup of Nations](/source/2025_Africa_Cup_of_Nations).[14][15]
