**Emma Sofia Berglund** (born 19 December 1988) is a Swedish former [footballer](/source/Association_football) who played as a [defender](/source/Defender_(association_football)).[4]

## Club career

Berglund joined Umeå IK in 2006 and later [captained](/source/Captain_(association_football)) the team.[5] She left Umeå after the [2014](/source/2014_Damallsvenskan) season to sign with [Damallsvenskan](/source/Damallsvenskan) champions [FC Rosengård](/source/FC_Roseng%C3%A5rd) in December 2014.[6] She served as their captain from the [2016](/source/2016_Damallsvenskan) season. In July 2017, it was announced that Berglund had signed a two-year contract with [Division 1 Féminine](/source/Division_1_F%C3%A9minine) team [Paris Saint-Germain](/source/Paris_Saint-Germain_F%C3%A9minines).[7]

## International career

Berglund made her debut for the senior [Sweden](/source/Sweden_women's_national_football_team) team in a 1–1 draw with the [United States](/source/United_States_women's_national_soccer_team) on 20 November 2011.

In June 2012 Berglund was named in the 18–player Sweden squad for the [2012 London Olympics](/source/Football_at_the_2012_Summer_Olympics_%E2%80%93_Women's_tournament), where she played Sweden's four games. She missed the [2013 European Championship](/source/UEFA_Women's_Euro_2013) due to an [ACL injury](/source/Anterior_cruciate_ligament_injury) sustained in April 2013.[8]
