**Emily McIntire** is an American [Republican](/source/Republican_Party_(United_States)) politician who serves the [56th](/source/Oregon's_56th_House_district) district in the [Oregon House of Representatives](/source/Oregon_House_of_Representatives). She won the seat in the [2022 election](/source/2022_Oregon_House_of_Representatives_election) against [Democratic](/source/Democratic_Party_(United_States)) opponent Jonathan Chenjeri.

McIntire serves as Co-Chair of the Oregon chapter of Future Caucus alongside Representative [Ben Bowman (politician)](/source/Ben_Bowman_(politician)).[1]

## Committees

She serves as a vice-chair on the Committee On Higher Education,[2] the Joint Committee On Ways and Means, in the subcommittee of Education,[3] and the Committee on Education.[4]

## Political Positions

Following the [Standoff at Eagle Pass](/source/Standoff_at_Eagle_Pass), McIntire signed a letter in support of Texas Governor [Greg Abbott](/source/Greg_Abbott)'s decision in the conflict.[5]
