# Elizabeth Ellen

**Elizabeth Ellen** (born April 19, 1969) is an American author and editor living in [Ann Arbor, Michigan](/source/Ann_Arbor,_Michigan).

She is the author of the collection of short stories *[Fast Machine](/source/Fast_Machine)*, *Before You She Was A Pitbull*, poetry collection *Bridget Fonda*, and the novel *Person/a*. Her work has appeared in *[American Short Fiction](/source/American_Short_Fiction)*, [McSweeney's](/source/McSweeney's),[1] [Muumuu House](/source/Muumuu_House), and Harper's Magazine. She was awarded a [Pushcart Prize](/source/Pushcart_Prize) for her story "Teen Culture,"[2] which appeared in [American Short Fiction](/source/American_Short_Fiction) in 2012.
