**Elise Chabbey** (born 24 April 1993) is a [Swiss](/source/Switzerland) road racing cyclist, who currently rides for [UCI Women's WorldTeam](/source/UCI_Women's_Team) [FDJ United–Suez](/source/FDJ%E2%80%93Suez). She won the mixed team relay alongside her Swiss teammates at the [UCI Road World Championships](/source/UCI_Road_World_Championships) in 2022 and 2023. In 2025, Chabbey won the polka-dot jersey of the [Queen of the Mountains classification](/source/Mountains_classification_in_the_Tour_de_France) at the [Tour de France Femmes](/source/2025_Tour_de_France_Femmes). In March 2026, she won the [Strade Bianche Donne](/source/Strade_Bianche_Donne).

## Career

At the [2012 Summer Olympics](/source/2012_Summer_Olympics) she competed as a [slalom canoer](/source/Whitewater_slalom) in the [K-1 event](/source/Canoeing_at_the_2012_Summer_Olympics_%E2%80%93_Women's_slalom_K-1),[4][5] finishing 20th in the heats, failing to qualify for the semifinals.[6] Retiring from canoe slalom, she entered medical school in 2014, starting to cycle after an injury prevented her from running.[7]

Chabbey started her professional cycling career in 2018, joining the [Cogeas](/source/Cogeas) team.[7] In 2019, she joined [Bigla Pro Cycling](/source/%C3%89quipe_Paule_Ka).[7] During the [COVID-19 pandemic](/source/COVID-19_pandemic_in_Switzerland) in 2020, Chabbey worked full-time for three months at the [University Hospital of Geneva](/source/University_Hospital_of_Geneva) – having completed her medical degree in October 2019.[7][8] Later in 2020, Chabbey won the road race at the [Swiss National Road Race Championships](/source/Swiss_National_Road_Race_Championships). For the 2021 season, Chabbey joined the [Canyon//SRAM](/source/Canyon%E2%80%93SRAM) team on a two-year contract, following the disbandment of [Équipe Paule Ka](/source/%C3%89quipe_Paule_Ka).[9] At the [2021 Tour de Suisse Women](/source/Tour_de_Suisse_Women), she finished 2nd overall, beaten by [Lizzie Deignan](/source/Lizzie_Deignan) by just 1 second.[10]

In 2022, she and her Swiss teammates won gold in the [mixed team relay](/source/2022_UCI_Road_World_Championships_%E2%80%93_Mixed_team_relay) at the [2022 UCI Road World Championships](/source/2022_UCI_Road_World_Championships) in [Wollongong](/source/Wollongong), [New South Wales](/source/New_South_Wales), [Australia](/source/Australia).[11] In 2023, she and her Swiss teammates defended their [mixed team relay](/source/2023_UCI_Road_World_Championships_%E2%80%93_Mixed_team_relay) title at the [2023 UCI Road World Championships](/source/2023_UCI_Road_World_Championships) in [Scotland](/source/Scotland).[12]

In 2025, Chabbey joined the French team [FDJ-Suez](/source/FDJ%E2%80%93Suez).[13] At the [2025 Tour de France Femmes](/source/2025_Tour_de_France_Femmes), Chabbey won the polka-dot jersey of the [Queen of the Mountains classification](/source/Mountains_classification_in_the_Tour_de_France), leading the competition from start to finish.[14] In August, she won the [Tour de Romandie Féminin](/source/2025_Tour_de_Romandie_F%C3%A9minin), the first stage race victory of her career.[15]
