**Elini** is a village and *[comune](/source/Comune)* (municipality) in the [Province of Ogliastra](/source/Province_of_Ogliastra) in the autonomous island region of [Sardinia](/source/Sardinia) in [Italy](/source/Italy), located about 80 kilometres (50 mi) northeast of [Cagliari](/source/Cagliari) and about 11 kilometres (7 mi) southwest of [Tortolì](/source/Tortol%C3%AC). It has 555 inhabitants.[2]

Elini borders the municipalities of [Arzana](/source/Arzana), [Ilbono](/source/Ilbono), [Lanusei](/source/Lanusei), and [Tortolì](/source/Tortol%C3%AC).

## Demographics

As of 2026, the population is 555, of which 48.8% are male, and 51.2% are female. Minors make up 14.8% of the population, and seniors make up 22.9%.[2]
