**Elias Saad** ([Arabic](/source/Arabic_language): إِلْيَاس سَعْد; born 27 December 1999) is a professional [footballer](/source/Association_football) who plays as a [left winger](/source/Left_winger) for [2. Bundesliga](/source/2._Bundesliga) club [Hannover 96](/source/Hannover_96) on loan from [FC Augsburg](/source/FC_Augsburg). Born in Germany, he plays for the [Tunisia national team](/source/Tunisia_national_football_team), having previously been a former international for the [Germany national futsal team](/source/Germany_national_futsal_team).

## Club career

From [Wilhelmsburg, Hamburg](/source/Wilhelmsburg%2C_Hamburg), in 2017 Saad played under-19 football for [Buxtehuder SV](/source/Buxtehuder_SV).[2] In 2019 he joined [Futsal Bundesliga](/source/Futsal_Bundesliga) team [Hamburg Panthers](/source/Hamburg_Panthers)[3] and became the youngest player to make an appearance for the [Germany national futsal team](/source/Germany_national_futsal_team).[4] He also played football for [HSV Barmbek-Uhlenhorst](/source/HSV_Barmbek-Uhlenhorst) in the fifth-tier [Oberliga Hamburg](/source/Oberliga_Hamburg), making 29 appearances in which he scored eleven goals and was credited with seven assists.[2] Whilst playing amateur football in Hamburg Saad also trained as a wholesale and retail salesman.[2][5] In March 2021 Saad agreed to join [Regionalliga Nord](/source/Regionalliga_Nord) side [FC Eintracht Norderstedt 03](/source/FC_Eintracht_Norderstedt_03), signing a two-year contract.[6]

On 1 December 2022, Saad was announced as signing for [2. Bundesliga](/source/2._Bundesliga) side [FC St. Pauli](/source/FC_St._Pauli).[7][8] He made his debut in the 2. Bundesliga for St. Pauli as a substitute against [Eintracht Braunschweig](/source/Eintracht_Braunschweig) on 16 April 2023.[9] He scored his first league goal for the club the following week in the derby game against Hamburger SV.[9] The following week he made his first league start for St. Pauli, at home against [Arminia Bielefeld](/source/Arminia_Bielefeld) on 30 April 2023.[10]

On 26 June 2025, Saad signed a four-year contract with [FC Augsburg](/source/FC_Augsburg).[11] On 14 January 2026, he was loaned by [Hannover 96](/source/Hannover_96) in [2. Bundesliga](/source/2._Bundesliga).[12]

## International career

In August 2023 Saad received his first call-up to the [Tunisia national team](/source/Tunisia_national_football_team).[13]

He made his debut on 26 March 2024 in a friendly against New Zealand.[14]
