**Mohamed Elias Achouri** ([Arabic](/source/Arabic_language): مُحَمَّد إِلْيَاس عَاشُورِيّ; born 10 February 1999) is a professional [footballer](/source/Association_football) who plays as a [midfielder](/source/Midfielder) for [Danish Superliga](/source/Danish_Superliga) club [Copenhagen](/source/F.C._Copenhagen). Born in [Réunion](/source/R%C3%A9union), an [overseas department of France](/source/Overseas_departments_and_regions_of_France), he plays for the [Tunisia national team](/source/Tunisia_national_football_team).

## Club career

On 26 August 2021, Achouri joined [Liga Portugal 2](/source/Liga_Portugal_2) club [Trofense](/source/C.D._Trofense) on loan from [Estoril](/source/G.D._Estoril_Praia).[1] On 31 August 2022, Achouri joined [Danish Superliga](/source/Danish_Superliga) side [Viborg FF](/source/Viborg_FF) on a deal until June 2025.[2]

Achouri made the move to 15-time Danish Superliga champions [Copenhagen](/source/F.C._Copenhagen) on 24 July 2023, signing a four-year deal with the Lions. This was at the time the biggesst sale of Viborg FF ever.[3]

## International career

Achouri was born in [Saint-Denis](/source/Saint-Denis%2C_R%C3%A9union), [Réunion](/source/R%C3%A9union) to a Tunisian father and an Algerian mother.[4] He debuted for the [Tunisia national team](/source/Tunisia_national_football_team) in a 4–0 win over [Equatorial Guinea](/source/Equatorial_Guinea_national_football_team) on 2 June 2022.[5]
