# Eleanore Wurtzel

**Eleanore T. Wurtzel** (b.1954) is an American biologist currently at [Lehman College](/source/Lehman_College) and the [Graduate Center of the City University of New York](/source/Graduate_Center_of_the_City_University_of_New_York). She was an elected fellow of the [American Association for the Advancement of Science](/source/American_Association_for_the_Advancement_of_Science).[1][2] Her research interests include studying plant biochemical pathways to provide knowledge and tools for developing sustainable solutions to worldwide [Vitamin A](/source/Vitamin_A) deficiency and malnutrition.[3]
