**Elbow Pass** is the [mountain pass](/source/Mountain_pass) between the Highwood and Elbow areas in [Kananaskis Country](/source/Kananaskis_Country), [Alberta](/source/Alberta), Canada. It contains [Elbow Lake](/source/Elbow_Lake_(Alberta)) which is the headwaters of the [Elbow River](/source/Elbow_River).

The pass is formed between [Mount Rae](/source/Mount_Rae_(Alberta)) of the [Misty Range](/source/Misty_Range) and [Gap Mountain](/source/Gap_Mountain_(Alberta)) of the [Opal Range](/source/Opal_Range).[2]

Good [hiking](/source/Hiking) and [mountain biking](/source/Mountain_biking) routes connect the [Little Elbow Recreation Area](/source/Little_Elbow_Recreation_Area) at the end of [Highway 66](/source/Alberta_Highway_66) to the [Highwood Pass](/source/Highwood_Pass) area on [Bighorn Highway](/source/Alberta_Highway_40).
