**El Burro** (Spanish: *Humedal El Burro*) is a wetland, part of the [Wetlands of Bogotá](/source/Wetlands_of_Bogot%C3%A1), in the locality [Kennedy](/source/Kennedy,_Bogot%C3%A1), [Bogotá](/source/Bogot%C3%A1), Colombia. The wetland on the [Bogotá savanna](/source/Bogot%C3%A1_savanna) covers about 19 hectares (47 acres) and is crossed by the [Avenida Ciudad de Cali](/source/Avenida_Ciudad_de_Cali).[1]

## Flora and fauna

### Flora

Flora registered in the wetland land include common duckweed (*[Lemna minor](/source/Lemna_minor)*) and swamp smartweed (*[Polygonum hydropyperoides](/source/Persicaria_hydropiperoides)*),[1] among other plant species.

### Birds

El Burro has 33 registered bird species, among others the [common moorhen](/source/Common_moorhen) (*Gallinula chloropus*) and [yellow-hooded blackbird](/source/Yellow-hooded_blackbird) (*Agelaius icterocephalus*).[1][2]
