**Eion Francis Hamilton Bailey** ([/ˈiːɒn/](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:IPA/English) [*EE-on*](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Pronunciation_respelling_key);[1] born June 8, 1976) is an American actor.

He stars as Jim Matthews in the [MGM+](/source/MGM%2B) horror series *[From](/source/From_(TV_series))*. He played Pvt. [David Kenyon Webster](/source/David_Kenyon_Webster) in the [HBO](/source/HBO) miniseries *[Band of Brothers](/source/Band_of_Brothers_(miniseries))* and appeared in the films *[Fight Club](/source/Fight_Club_(film))*, *[Center Stage](/source/Center_Stage_(2000_film))*, *[Mindhunters](/source/Mindhunters)*, and *[Sexual Life](/source/Sexual_Life)*. Bailey struggled in school until he found his calling in his high school's drama department. He was soon performing in each school play and went on to study formally at the [American Academy of Dramatic Arts](/source/American_Academy_of_Dramatic_Arts) in [New York City](/source/New_York_City). He briefly attended [Santa Barbara City College](/source/Santa_Barbara_City_College). He appeared in *[Almost Famous](/source/Almost_Famous)*, portraying [Jann Wenner](/source/Jann_Wenner).
