**Efecte Plc** (natively **Matrix42 [Oy](/source/Osakeyhti%C3%B6)**, previously **Efecte [Oyj](/source/Oyj)**)[2] is a [Finnish](/source/Finland) software company founded in 1998. Since 2024, it has been owned by Matrix42.[3]

Efecte develops software for managing [IT operations](/source/IT_operations).[4] In the Nordic countries the company is specialized in [self-service](/source/Self-service), [service management](/source/Service_management), and [identity management](/source/Identity_management). [Nordic](/source/Nordic_countries) customers include [SSAB](/source/SSAB), [Roskilde Municipality](/source/Roskilde_Municipality), [Danske Bank](/source/Danske_Bank), and [Stena Sphere](/source/Stena_Sphere). The company says other customers are companies such as [Konecranes](/source/Konecranes), [Patria](/source/Patria_(company)), [DNA Oy](/source/DNA_Oy), [VR Group](/source/VR_Group), [Paulig](/source/Paulig), and Finnish cities [Helsinki](/source/Helsinki), [Vantaa](/source/Vantaa), [Espoo](/source/Espoo), and [Tampere](/source/Tampere).[5]

The company employs over 100 people in four countries: [Finland](/source/Finland), [Sweden](/source/Sweden), [Denmark](/source/Denmark), and [Germany](/source/Germany). It is headquartered in Espoo, Finland, and its CEO is Niilo Fredrikson.

In the [Technology Fast 50](/source/Deloitte_Fast_50) ranking published by [Deloitte & Touche](/source/Deloitte_%26_Touche), Efecte ranked among the fastest growing Finnish technology companies in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008, making the top 10 list in 2005.[6][7][8][9] In 2005, Efecte was also ranked as the 216th fastest growing technology company across EMEA.[10] In 2008, Efecte ranked 9th in *Best Workplaces in Finland* study conducted by Great Place to Work Institute.[11]

In May 2022, Efecte announced the acquisition of a Polish SaaS company. InteliWise had focused on automating conversations using artificial intelligence.[12] The deal was finalized in July.[13]

In April 2024, Efecte was merged into German ESM company Matrix42 GmbH.[14]
