He took his first victory in August 2014 in the [Grote Prijs Stad Zottegem](/source/Grote_Prijs_Stad_Zottegem). He also rode for his national team at the [2014 UCI Road World Championships](/source/2014_UCI_Road_World_Championships). In 2015, he began his season with four top-ten finishes at the [Étoile de Bessèges](/source/2015_%C3%89toile_de_Bess%C3%A8ges), finishing fifth overall and winning the points classification. He took his second career win in March 2015 with victory in the [Ronde van Drenthe](/source/Ronde_van_Drenthe).[6] In August 2015 it was announced that Theuns would join [Trek–Segafredo](/source/Lidl%E2%80%93Trek_(men's_team)) for the 2016 season.[7] He was named in the start list for the [2016 Tour de France](/source/2016_Tour_de_France)[8] and the [2017 Vuelta a España](/source/2017_Vuelta_a_Espa%C3%B1a).[9] In 2018, Theuns signed with [Team Sunweb](/source/Team_Picnic%E2%80%93PostNL_(men's_team)), before returning to ride for [Trek–Segafredo](/source/Lidl%E2%80%93Trek_(men's_team)) the following year.[3][2] In 2019, he won the [Primus Classic](/source/Grand_Prix_Impanis-Van_Petegem). ## Major results **2010** -
