# Edward Ebdon

**Edward William Ebdon** (22 April 1870 — 6 December 1950) was an English [cricketer](/source/Cricket). He was a right-handed batsman and wicket-keeper who played for [Somerset](/source/Somerset_County_Cricket_Club). He was born in [Bradford on Tone](/source/Bradford_on_Tone) and died in [Weston-Super-Mare](/source/Weston-Super-Mare).

Ebdon made two first-class appearances for Somerset, the first in 1891 against [Marylebone Cricket Club](/source/Marylebone_Cricket_Club) and the second seven years later against [Sussex](/source/Sussex_County_Cricket_Club).

Ebdon's brothers, [John](/source/John_Ebdon_(cricketer)) and [Percy](/source/Percy_Ebdon), had short first-class careers.
