**Edmund Horan** was an [Irish](/source/Irish_people) [Clann na Talmhan](/source/Clann_na_Talmhan) politician. He was a member of [Seanad Éireann](/source/Seanad_%C3%89ireann) from 1944 to 1948. He was elected to the [5th Seanad](/source/5th_Seanad) in July 1944 to the [Agricultural Panel](/source/Agricultural_Panel).[1] He did not contest the 1948 Seanad election.[1]

He stood unsuccessfully for [Dáil Éireann](/source/D%C3%A1il_%C3%89ireann) on four occasions.[2] He stood as an [independent](/source/Independent_politician_(Ireland)) candidate for the [Kerry North](/source/Kerry_North_(D%C3%A1il_constituency)) constituency at the [1943 general election](/source/1943_Irish_general_election), and for the [Kerry South](/source/Kerry_South_(D%C3%A1il_constituency)) constituency at the [1944 general election](/source/1944_Irish_general_election).[2] He stood as Clann na Talmhan candidate for Kerry South at the November 1944 and December 1945 by-elections.[2]
